PSC Officers will focus on the ship\u2019s <strong>approved Cargo Securing Manual (CSM)<\/strong>, crew familiarisation, cargo plans and VGM, securing equipment, CSAP, cargo securing throughout the voyage, bridge visibility, and heavy-weather precautions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A key point for shipowners and crews: <strong>the CSM must be onboard, understood and properly implemented<\/strong>. Certain CSM-related \u201cNo\u201d responses may result in the ship being <strong>considered for detention<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Full CIC details and inspection checklist are covered in our guide.
